OnePlus Diwali Gift: OnePlus has announced that the OxygenOS 16 update will be released in India on October 16th, 2025, with the company introducing it with the tagline “Intelligently Yours.” This update will be based on Android 16, and the company has indicated that AI and smart features will play a key role in this new version.

With this new OS, OnePlus aims to provide users with a more intuitive, smarter experience. Features like the new UI (Liquid Glass) design, full-screen Always-on Display, Gemini integration, and AI-enabled changes are steps towards making it even more powerful. OnePlus has also stated that the Nord series, tablets, and flagship series will receive this update.

OnePlus has placed a special emphasis on AI and design in the OxygenOS 16 update. The most important feature is that this new OS will integrate Google Gemini AI into OnePlus AI. For example, users could ask Gemini to create trip plans for them using data stored in their Mind Space (OnePlus’ AI hub), such as notes, tickets, and more.
The UI design may feature a new Liquid Glass style, which would enhance icons, transparent layers, and visual effects. A full-screen Always-On Display is also possible, meaning the entire display on the lock screen will display information, not just a small portion.
Another interesting feature could be a Sports Live Tracking/Dynamic Island-like UI element, allowing users to view live scores without opening the app. Improvements to app launch speed, smoother animations, better power management, and security improvements are also expected. All of these features are intended to ensure OnePlus users not only get the experience they want today, but also step towards the AI-enabled interfaces of the future.
